Quick! Name the most important ingredient in network marketing. Product? Nope! Compensation Plan? No way! What about a nifty sales kit? Not even close!
Give up? It’s relationship building--the art of listening to others in order to discover their wants, needs, desires, and beliefs. Without it, your dreams of network marketing success would surely collapse.
Relationship building is simple. Unless you live under a rock, you meet people daily--at work, worship, shopping, and play, to name a few. Relationship building is easy. You speak less and listen more. Show enthusiasm and interest in what someone says and, in time, they’ll probably ask you what you do. Then is the time to subtly mention your business.
Network marketers involved in relationship building help others succeed. Good, intelligent marketers guide their new teammates through intelligent ideas, teachings, and encouragement which deliver positive results. This is a win-win for all parties involved because they become more successful when others become more successful. As master motivator Zig Ziglar often says: You can only get what you want, if you help enough other people get what they want.
